I spent 6 months living and working there. Saw what happens when a group of people come together with no common goals, tried to stop the worst of them from destroying what was already built up, got angry and disillusioned by the whole thing, left and came back to Hawaii. On the positive side I learned bits about agriculture, livestock, construction, carpentry, and auto mechanics. Also wrote down a bunch of story ideas gathered from personal experiences and second/third hand accounts of people's lives that I someday want to write into in a book.
