I have an acquaintance who fights in UFC - we attended same school for a while when young. Great guy, incredibly humble, fantastic sense of humor. I asked him about negotiations when he finally signed for his first fight. He laughed, somewhat despondently, and said, "We get punched in the face for a payday, and there's a thousand guys hoping for their chance to do the same."
