The 8 stages of trying to read James Joyce ahead of Bloomsday

quote [ Joyce is celebrated for his wit, use of stream of consciousness, and challenging what a novel can be and do. That doesn't mean that the difficulty of reading "Ulysses" hasn't put one or two of us off. We go through the various stages of reading Joyce. ]

Happy Bloomsday, readers and/or drinkers!

Proof that MM read Ulysses:

I looked up Bloomsday.

It seems the wiki is way into how blomsday was the first outing with his soon to be wife and she “masturbated him”.

On a first date.

DAMN Nora.

I got about 30 pages into "Finnegans Wake" a number of years ago. I might have finished it, but happened to meet an artist who's style reminded me so very much of the writing in the book that I just gave the book to him. He read it in its entirety, and enjoyed the hell out of it.
