I've seen jackasses online insisting that Obama did the same thing (or worse - neither is true) and that the Dumpster admin has no choice because keeping the parents and children together would mean imprisoning children (which this somehow isn't). Meanwhile Fox is arguing that the Nazis were trying to keep the Jews in, not out, so totally different. Also, not cages, just rooms divided by chain-link fences, also totally different.

If there's one thing the Trump administration is known for it is keeping in line with the structure the Obama administration set up.
Remember years ago how Republicans were wailing about how Obama was separating families and keeping children in cages? Trump could cater to that base and put an end to this, but, no, he believes in adhering to precedent. |

If i were México, i would secretly require visas for all American women with children entering the country for security reasons. Then I'd separate children from mothers and detain them in a tent city in the parking lot of Mexico city's airport. I would then start to ask the rest of the world to limit visits and immigration by Americans to the rest of the world.
