The tone around Kent State always struck me as a national regret, but the paragraphs about all the mistreatment that Ann received from both the authorities and random pro-war/pro-authority people mirrors so perfectly the present tone around BLM/antifa protesters that it forces me to wonder: did America forget the lessons it learned at Kent State and elsewhere about blind obedience to authority and the legitimacy of protestors, or did it never learn any lesson at all?
