Who would have thought that electing a libidinous, blond, lying gameshow host with delusions of historical grandeur would backfire?

Funny thing is, before BREXIT and BOJO, I had the laughable assumption that the Brits, like the Canadians, were saner than we are here in the USA.

Remember the USA was started by people who wanted to get away from the Brits

Just enough of a culture difference to take the edge off. Like how US comedy often seems cruel while British comics saying the same things seem silly at first glance.

We've got a terrible PM, who spent 2 years breaking the rules, and changing the rules to make it all okay, who "resigned" but will be in power until the party replaces him.

I think the UK is fucked, ladies and gentlemen.

I don't know why so many people seem to think that willingness to break the rules is a good thing in a leader. Well, I can think of lots of psychological reasons why they might think that, but none of them are complimentary.

A lot of people believe the ends justify the means.

Rules aren't morals. It would depend on why they break the rules.

Whether the rules are right or wrong is immaterial in this discussion, but I would never support a leader who breaks the rules because I don't want the opposition to break the rules.
But some folk think their position is the only moral one, and will take any route to get to it
