There are many games from the BBS era, and text games in general, that are fun but the interfaces and expectations we have just don't work for them as well. The dependence on iconography and massive games really stunted what could be possible by and large. I suppose discord and slack -could- be that new platform but haven't really seen it take off.

I remember downloading Tetris and Norton Utilities. My memory is fading but there was something about a utility in NU that let you bypass copy protection of Lotus 123.
