quote [ Short Story ]
Little 4 page short story from Le Guin that some memes I've recently run across put me onto.

I've been thinking about stuff like this after watching Andor. Normal people, caught up in an evil system because that's the only system they know and they're just trying to survive, but doing that continues to feed the evil system. When you're facing an entire broken society, how much courage it must take to walk away. But then in this story, there is physical room for people to walk away. What happens when every direction you might choose to walk leads you to the same problem?

If all you want is to walk away, there is the woods. You could go be a hermit or what not. But will that be enough?
