Qatar’s neighbours want to gag media that raises questions about the way these nations are run. Or it could have gotten into the reasons...midst of a religious war, sparked on by a aggressive new Saudi prince, aggravated by in idiot in DC who has taken a definite side in religious regional war. |

I would add:
Qatar’s neighbours want to gag media that raises questions about the way these nations are run...but doesn't do the same in Qatar. Formal overt censorship is not used, but al-Jazeera is not free to ask the same questions about Qatar as it is about other countries. That makes this political in a way that it wouldn't be if that pressure wasn't there. |

Probably fair to say that Qatar's backing of al-Jazeera is a big factor behind the current Gulf state crisis. They've been a big thorn in the side of Egypt's authoritarian regime especially.
