Must protect our Glorious Leader...

quote [ The Intrusion Of Modern Politics On Our YouTube Channel ]

This is one of my favorite Chanels...caught all kinds of flack for doing a desert called the Orange Fool just before the 4th of July. And of course the Trump supporters knew they were making fun of him...Ironic?

I do love that show. Anyone who watched the episode should have been able to tell that it was done without inuendo, and especially anyone familiar with the series. One of the recurring elements is the interesting names of the dishes they research and recreate. I don't blame him for feeling so exasperated.

When I was little I thought Orange Julius was owned by Julius Erving.

One of the first burger restaurants I've eaten was an Orange Brutus in the Philippines. When I came here in the US, I see a bunch of Orange Julius and I just thought it was funny how capitalism works.

Amen...

Conservatives claim Linda Sarsour called for holy war against Trump. Here's what she really said.
The Muslim American activist’s use of “jihad” in a recent speech was taken out of context.

"In the July 1 speech, Sarsour shared a story from Islamic scripture concerning a man who asked Mohammed, the prophet of Islam, about the “best form of jihad.” “And our beloved prophet … said to him, ‘A word of truth in front of a tyrant ruler or leader, that is the best form of jihad,’” Sarsour told the crowd."

You really should read something other than Vox. It's small wonder your views are so narrow.

Sarsour is deeply creepy women who, among other things, said of Ayaan Hirsi Ali that someone "should take her vagina away. She doesn't deserve to be a women."

She began the speech by referring to Siraj Wajjah as “her favorite person in the room.”

Let’s take a look at her “favourite person” more closely:

Wahhaj supports Islamic laws over liberal democracy. He supports capital punishments such as stoning for adultery, and cutting off of hands for thievery. "Islam is better than democracy. Allah will cause his deen [Islam as a complete way of life], Islam to prevail over every kind of system, and you know what? It will happen.

Wahhaj said: "If Allah says 100 strikes, 100 strikes it is. If Allah says cut off their hand, you cut off their hand. If Allah says stone them to death, through the Prophet Muhammad, then you stone them to death, because it’s the obedience of Allah and his messenger—nothing personal.”

Sarsour knew exactly what she was doing when she evoked Jihad. First of all she was making herself more famous, second she was hoodwinking Vox and people like you with a partial view of Jihad.

If you want to know about this speech, like most speeches, it's summed up at the end - and if you want context for it, think about the views of her "favourite person in the room":

“Our number one and top priority is to protect and defend our community. It is not to assimilate and to please any other people in authority. Our top priority is to please Allah, and only Allah.”

Whoever told you that name calling was an effective rhetorical device did you a disservice.

I read your post, and your comment, and I responded at some length and with some care.

The error was entirely mine.
