NRA’s media outlet fearmongers about Black Lives Matter committing mass violence against whites

quote [ Chuck Holton: There are "parallels between what's happening in South Africa and the blatant racism and violence ... from people like the Black Lives Matter crowd"

This has to stop, and if you want to see why it has to stop, you look at South Africa. Over -- between three and four thousand white South Africans have been killed in the most horrific ways, brutalized, raped, tortured, drug behind cars, had drills taken to them. Some really horrific things. ]

NRA has run way past their second amendment advocacy. Now they're trying to gin up a race/culture war, literally.

This may be a series.

I noticed the NRA was awfully quiet about Philando Castile, a legal gun owner, being shot dead by law enforcement. I can't imagine they'd be so quiet if he'd been white.

Just like I didn't hear anyone from the NRA ever say that Trayvon Martin would still be alive if he had been armed.

BLM and the NAACP need to have NRA membership drives. Anyone with an interest in the Second Amendment can join, right? Time to stack the deck. Nothing will get gun control laws passed faster than a bunch of black people with firearms.

I don't think they're actually funded or directed by their members.

From what I gather, that was the plan in the 60s which is how gun control spread but the NRA changed its mind in 77 and promoted guns for everyone. I assume re key was that they found a way to suppress black people organizing and getting guns.

I'd assume it was a combination of for profit prison and spreading crack into neighborhoods along with police action.

The war on drugs was pretty brilliant in terms of funding the CIA, political allies in South America, and keeping preventing black organization/enfranchisement, you know, if those were theoretical political goals of your party/organization. But it's not like the US has a history that merits that. *awkward silence*

The problem with that strategy for the NRA is that black people getting guns results in stricter gun control.

So basically another Saturday today?

Yeah, as a gun owner they are really upsettting me. This shit has got to stop. I understand that they are deeply tied to the police and police unions but this can't be helping. They just have the same problems that the GOP has. Too much rich white guy.

So the NRA is equating/admitting the US is like apartheid-era South Africa. Radical in its condemnation of modern American oppression of minorities, but it just might work.

The NRA is much more than that. It is deeply involved in many political organizations including Putin's Russia.

Guns and religion: How American conservatives grew closer to Putin’s Russia

The white Christian Nationalist are real, international and gaining power. And even though there is a NRA office in Moscow the last thing Putin wants is gun toting Russians that are not working for him. This is all done for an American audience

Why has the NRA been cozying up to Russia?
The Right to Bear Arms in Moscow enjoys a close relationship with America’s leading gun-rights group

But the NRA is just another 501c There are a lot of them. The really scary thing that happened this week if you are a non White Cristian Nationalist is this ..

Conservative Political Blogger Confirmed For Seat On Federal Appeals Court

Or maybe it is the fact that Trump urged to nominate more than 100 federal judges ... now on conservative media.

Man, as a gun owner it really depresses me how fucked up NRA is, yet they're pretty much the only large gun rights group with any meaning pull when it comes to defending the 2nd amendment.
Hugh E. said[1] @ 1:11am GMT on 23rd Jul
Like how the KKK is the only real defender of the 10th amendment.
