History teaches that the damage a state can do is unlimited.
And a few overweight old guys with guns is not what is stopping them or will it ever be.

And nobody is saying take away guns...but if this shit keeps up they will. If gun enthusiast don't want the government to come for their guns they had better submit to some common sense regulations and they had better do it fast.

The defend the people from the government is the weakest argument because of the shear stupidity of it, the self defense argument doesn't work either you are in more danger just having the gun.
