Netflix to cancel House of Cards in wake of Kevin Spacey allegations

quote [ Netflix has announced it was cancelling its flagship television series, House of Cards, a day after allegations that its star, Kevin Spacey, sexually harassed a 14-year-old boy. ]

Another hollywood open secret getting attention. This guy has given me the creeps ever since Epstein got caught and he was named as one of his airplane buddies.

I'm pretty sure carrying a 14-year-old into your bedroom and laying on top of them is more than just "hitting" on people. There are plenty of drunk people who don't get inappropriate with 14 year olds. You're either into underaged people or not. Being drunk doesn't excuse it.

This is probably not the only time Spacey has been a creep. The only difference is people came forward.

A genuine apology would have been better than making it about him. And coming out as gay in the same apology? Why would you do that? Why hide behind a coming out story? That just makes it worse and wrongfully equates gayness with pedophilic tendencies.

In hindsight, his apology made it worse.

Also, this is a package deal of being a famous person. Your career literally is dependent on public opinion.

In comparison, there are lots of women accusing Cosby. He's been vilified as such, but he's not completely banned from the industry. Weinstein has over 80 women coming forward with their experience. Banned.

What's the difference? Most of the 80+ women are famous people.
