do you make your own costumes?
yes, i make about 90 percent of my costumes, every rhinestone is done by hand [my biggest, showiest act features around 11,000 hand applied stones]
I even made my own feather fans

fucking expensive to buy and to make, i love them though, even if it was a pain in the ass to make them. seriously...ostrich feathers...everywhere

how far do you strip down?
some girls strip to boyshorts, i go to gstring/merkin and pasties, i have special panties that are made for dancers so that you cant see my vagina when stage lights are on me, regular panties for stage are a NO NO . pasties attach with spirit gum, carpet or toupee tape. i make all my own merkins and they are basically a c string [ think of it as a panty with wires , its fucking weird] or i use a strapless panty base and decorate on top of it. im currently making one that looks like a slice of pizza. awww yisss


I could neverrrrrr getnaked on a stage. how do you do it?

lots of panic beforehand. but once you get onstage you pretty much blackout and go on auto pilot. it gets better though.

what KIND of burlesque do you do?
i do alot of goth/vampire/gore inspired acts. Im working on getting a stage prop that will be a glittery coffin :) I also do a ton of nerdlesque [glinda the good witch, pikachu, sulu, ] my pikachu act has "fans" that look like pokeballs


how do you dance in those shoes?
no fucking idea. ive busted my ass in shoes so many times, i feel onto the stage trying to climb the stage steps on my debut. but other than that ive never fallen . i use shoes that are specially made for dancers...like ballroom dancers. stripper shoes are pretty but if you are stumbling around stage like a retarded baby giraffe...thats not sexy.

how do you get into burlesque?
i started taking dance classes, watch a ton of videos, read books about the history of burlesque. practice all the time and contact local troupes and see if they are looking for new dancers. most major cities have a scene. New orleans has a HUGE ONE, as does chicago, new york and several parts of texas

is there anything you wont do onstage?
yes, i draw the line at anything that would be cultural appropriation, i wont do native american or geisha type acts. its done quite alot, but its not something im comfortable with.

michelle lamour, banbury cross, satans angel, vivienne von coffin, kitten deville, jo weldon, there are so many.


how naked CAN you get?
new orleans is pretty lax, but i know that ive seen dancers do some pretty rauncy stuff on stages here. however, places like TN have blue laws that prohibit "underboob" or ass crack from showing.
