quote [ as the three internet giants (Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple Sirii)are battling it out, Amazon Echo seems to be coming out on top…among the blind community because Echo gives users the ability to select customizable "skills" that control a variety of tasks and actions. Using the Amazon Echo was a game changer you can get the information you are looking for ten times faster than you would navigating a website. But perhaps it all comes down to cost. Amazon Echo remains the most affordable. ]

I have Alexa as of Christmas. Step 1: turn off one-click purchasing. But the Skills are pretty cool, took me about two days to figure out how to play from my DLNA collection (indirectly via Plex) instead of amazon music. ties in with my security system too. overall pretty nice device, but a "kitchen computer" would still be the best path IMO.
