Perhaps my favourite cult movie, and a good idea of one path you can take in the game. Just watch out for the Nic Cage. He is VERY real. and you should be VERY afraid.


Last night I decided to play for a bit before bed, 2 hrs later my cultist's journey ended because after working for a dead end corpo job for too long and I somehow failed to maintain my health and oh yeah; my cult was wiped out while exploring an abandoned hospital potentially (actually) filled with ghosts. I also converted a priest who found me an auction house, a [REDACTED], and an assassins guild (which was used to eliminate someone who got a bit too close to my important work.

If you want to get a good grasp on what you can and should do, check out this video as it gets into more mechanics but still maintains the mystery that the game is working so hard to create.

Overall I think that if you enjoy a tightly built world along with madness and permadeath, you will love this game. It should be noted that there are also 4 expansions so far so even if you become a pro with THIS mode, there is much more to try out later.


Also goddamn the music/effects really draw you in closely before the knife make it's inevitable way into your heart.
