Worst show ever.

The comments on the vids are more interesting than the vids themselves. Most are trying to oust each other as government shills, whether or not this channel is just trying to make money off of the standoff, etc.

It's like watching an asylum have an inmate-wide shouting match over which one of them is really Jesus.

Clearly, the thing to do is make an account called "government handler" and upvote every single conspiracy post out there.

I read that a doctor once brought together three patients who all thought that they were Jesus, to let them argue it out. Each of them correctly identified that the other two were suffering from delusions, but none of them made the further assumption that perhaps they were as well.

That puts me in mind of a lyric from Dire Straits' "Industrial Disease":

Two men say they're Jesus / One of them must be wrong.

Seriously, what's the point to watching these?

I found it pretty interesting to follow the course of their disintegration over the day. In the AM a guy we nicknamed Lumpen Prole was screaming batshit crazy stuff into the phone predicting his own imminent demise and then, a little later, called his Mom to say good bye. you know, dyin' fur 'Merica and all that.

And then they placed hopes in all the "militia" they thought were coming from other places to help them, and it seemed to slowly dawn on them that it wasn't going to happen...

Oh, i forgot... the vid got really choppy but at one point in the afternoon they were apparently contemplating a big move, discussing weaponry and the right rounds, including Pregnant Smoker lady, who I guess wanted in on the action.

Maybe I should have mentioned that it was on the second monitor in the corner while I got work done.

Why has nobody pointed out yet that "malheur" is French for "mishap", "misfortune" or "blunder"?

I did in the comments to this post. However, HP Lovekraftwerk kindly pointed out that the park was named after the Malheur River. But...it was all going to end in tears anyway and thus the park was well-named, no matter the provenance.

When Obama takes our guns, he needs to give us lawyers as a replacement.
