From what I read in this article, this had little to do with BLM and more to do with gang violence. It would appear that this guy was trying to get out of that sort of life (after making gun-filled vids in the past) and his rivals decided this was a reasonable opportunity to make him a target.

Sure, the subject matter is ironic, but he could've been shooting a video about the effect of gophers on international trade, and he'd still have wound up in the hospital.

The are two major differences between police killing blacks and blacks killing blacks. One is the question of motive and the other the question of volume.
But the hard and cold fact is, blacks kill blacks at an alarming rate and instill fear into the police. If some how the police never again shot an unarmed man, the murder rates for black youth and adults would still be a national tragedy.

You do realize you just equated police shooting someone and a criminal shooting someone, right? You know that cops are supposed to be trained professionals and not trigger-happy people who (for some weird reason) disproportionally kill black people and often try to cover up the fact their target was unarmed, cooperating, or otherwise unworthy of a bullet?

No i didn't. Hence the first sentence. Although without question some police shootings are criminal, whether it be criminal negligence or outright murder. And of course, most police shootings are completely justified,

So for some reason Google Now keeps giving me "Black Lives Matters" "news" from conservative outlets. I put those in separate quotes because: 1) it's less news and more inflammatory, fear-mongering editorialized bullshit, and 2) the conservative outlets seems to just label any black person as a member of BLM to justify their hateful bigotry.

It's the glaring flaw with search histories. If I'm shown a series of articles detailing the latest outrageous thing said by Limbaugh, Coulter, or Trump, Google starts to think I'm a Conservative and serves up ads and search weights to reflect that "preference."

It's like deciding to campaign for safer driving and all your friends assume this means you really dig seeing car accidents.
