Historical European Martial Arts (bonus documentary in extended)

quote [ The training at the club is focused on learning the hand to hand skills needed to survive on a medieval battlefield, in a formal duel or on the streets of a place and era far more dangerous and violent than our own. ]

Any SE'ers tried their hand (to hand) at Historical European Martial Arts? Link is to my local club - thinking of giving it a go. Anyone have a spare buckler I could swash with ... just to see if I like it before commiting?

Prompted in part by watching this: Back to the source - Historical European Martial Arts documentary (funded via Kickstarter).

Is not very often that some on SE also shows up on Dan Carlin's Hardcore History forum.

Well done.
