The Onion bought out by top Hillary Clinton supporter. No, this is not a satirical Onion article, this is real...

quote [ Many news outlets covered Univision Communications’ purchase last week of a stake in The Onion, the world’s leading news publication. According to NPR, Univision bought a 40 percent controlling interest in the company, and also acquired the option to buy the remainder of The Onion in the future.

But what’s gotten no attention at all is that Haim Saban, Hillary Clinton’s biggest fan and financial supporter, is Univision’s co-owner and chairman. ]

I have faith that avid Onion readers will be able to see through this blatant ploy.

I dunno, the connection is a little misleading. This guy is in fact the co-owner of the company that owns the company that now owns the Onion. If he's really intent on having some input into the goings on of satirical publication so far down on his gigantic corporate empire that would be some ultra-micro-management. Even if he were inclined to meddle on such a minute scale it's not like manipulating the content of the Onion is likely to have a serious political impact.

But the kids love it though.

And the kids are overwhelmingly in favor of Sanders. The amount of millennials who are eligible to vote in 2016 actually matches boomers for the first time in history.

And if they could so easily be swayed by the Onion I'd be a little concerned. Luckily I share your faith in their critical thinking skills.

I feel if you had actually intermingled with these millenials you would definitely be concerned.

There's lots of this going around...Fandango bought Rotten Tomatoes and Flixter. Given that a ticketing agency buying perhaps the most critical online review site (RT) one's tempted to scream "Conflict of interest!" but it wouldn't matter.

It could matter, but who knows really.

Forget the Hillary "connection." We should start worrying that Haim Saban will use his influence over the Onion to indoctrinate our nation's youth into speaking Spanish.
sanepride said @ 1:48pm GMT on 18th Feb
That would certainly be unexpected, considering that Saban's native language is Hebrew.

Are you saying that Jews are above suspicion in this country? And its Univision, not Jewnivision.

Look, if you'll just consult this chart of secret societies I have over here, I've clearly marked out the players in this particular instance with green yarn...

At last! The truth that you won't find in the anarconazi corporate controlled media! BREAK OUT OF YOUR CHAINS SHEEPLE!
sanepride said @ 2:12pm GMT on 18th Feb
Ha. If history has taught us anything, it's that the Jews are never above suspicion. If anyone was actively looking for a Zionist media conspiracy, Haim Sabin would fit the bill conveniently.

And thats just what he wants us to believe...

Regarding the thumb: Shouldn't that be WWSDD? I call shenanigans.

Ser Davos doesn't read or write too well! He just started learning. WWSDD? He'd probably misspell it a couple of times.

Good old internet conspiracy theory sites . There have been about 20 hostile corporate takeovers in the last couple of months. 90% of the CEOs of the acquiring companies (which are generally hedge fund shitheads) are most likely Ted Cruz or Rand Paul supporters. Actual news would have been if Hillary Clinton would have bought The Onion. Whoops...I actually meant to say BREAK FREE OF YOUR CORPORATE BONDS SHEEPLE...THE SIGNS ARE ALL AROUND YOU!!!!
