Why does it matter what the religion of the targeted was? Are you saying you wouldn't care if it had been Muslims?

Well, given the lack of posts from our numerate friend about the recent attacks in Nigeria (25 killed in a bombing this month, 80 killed in a bombing in February), the Ivory Coast (19 dead this month), Iraq (30 killed in a stadium bombing, 24 dead in a bombing at a city building), Yemen (26 killed in a checkpoint bombing), the January attacks in Somalia, Burkino Fasa, Cameroon, and Pakistan. I think it's a fairly safe assumption that only attacks that further the narrative that Muslims (oogie boogie) are at war with Christians are being posted here. I don't think the fact that Muslims are the ones currently baring the brunt of fundamentalist Islam is going to be allowed to muddy that simplistic idea.

"Bomber Targeting Christians Kills 65"

The headline was a cut and pasted from the original Reuters headline when I posted the story. I had nothing to do with the wording.
I included no editorial comment whatsoever.

Fascinating.

My comment's not about the headline.

Perhaps you can't read. Or you're simply only capable of taking in the information you think is there, rather than what is actually there.

Fascinating.

He has to. He's so incapable of acting like a civilised person in a conversation that his karma is too low for him to post.

The sad thing is, karma basically grows on trees around here. I mean, hell, if my low-effort shitposts and cheesy pun comments can get me to the top of the chart, surely ten minutes a week of talking about literally anything else other than how scary Mooslims and trannies are would be enough to keep #### in the positive numbers.

Sure, but then who would we argue with? Debate keeps the mind sharp, and I'm sure we all consider ourselves master debaters around here. :D

To be fair, it did say that the group claimed to be targeting Christians.

However, I'd be curious to know if they "succeeded" or not, since suicide bombers have a long history of blowing up fellow Muslims. I don't think the article says, and that may just be logistically impossible at this point.

As an aside, there are thousands of (presumably Muslim) people flooding Lahore's main hospital at the moment in order to give blood for their injured compatriots. Muslim blood will flow through Christian veins in order to save life.

I honestly can't imagine a better symbol of the unity between faiths that one might have hoped for. Further, it's a superb repudiation of the division that the perpetrators would have hoped to sow.

It is a nice moment. Pakistani Christians are a persecuted minority in a theocratic state that get fuck all help from anywhere else. They could really use a break.

I hope that this does bring some attention to the plight of Christians in Pakistan, and those who have fled to Thailand and are now trapped there. Thailand doesn't recognise refugees at all, so those who make it are trapped in a bureaucratic nightmare of being non-persons, unable to support themselves and repeatedly arrested for being undocumented. It'd be nice if this pushed the UN to get it's act together and get these people some relief.

A nice moment indeed.
I particularly like the killing christian children part. That was particularly heartwarming.

Yeah it was joyless of me to fuck up a feel-good story about Muslims helping Christians by focusing on the dead children – Tasteless to suggest we might take a step back from admiring the “Coexist” bumper stickers on our soy-burning Volvos and come to terms with the reality that Christians are the most persecuted minority of our time and will be until long after we are dead and planted – that is if there are any left still to kill. Which in certain parts of the world is looking pretty unlikely.

And I suppose it would be equally pissy to posit that no “social justice” merit badges be awarded until we enunciate that the chief reason for this wave of death is the toxic teaching of a retrograde cult that venerates a child fucker, and that a “heart-warming” story such as this is just something you managed pull out of your ass to obscure what is actually happening – and that in light of the dead and the dying, serving up some bromide about Muslim’s love for Christians would be funny if it was, you know, funny.

But it’s pleaides who wins the gold ribbon for the most Pollyannaish worldview with his stunning image of “Muslim blood flowing through Christian veins”; when the headlines will tell you any day, and every day, that “the religion of peace” is much more about emptying Christian veins than keeping them topped up - but then again, as you point out, I can’t read.

My entire comment is about the dire situation Pakistani Christians are in, as a persecuted minority in a theocratic state. Their plight in both Pakistan and Thailand is mostly ignored and it would be great if every 'it's Christians against Moose-limbs' loudmouth on the internet actually put their time and effort where their mouths are and tried to get these people some relief. I doubt it, though. I suspect they are of interest only in as much as they are perfect victims and the groups working to help them will remain underfunded and under-championed.

And if you'd been able to read my earlier comment you'd realise that most of the blood being spilled by Islamic extremists is Muslim. Muslims across the Middle East, Asia and Africa are on the receiving end of the vast majority of attacks by fundamentalist terrorists. I suspect even if you could read, that reality would be so far from your constructed narrative of the world that you simply couldn't comprehend it and would have to continue on your way, frothing and ranting about the "moose-limbs coming to get us".

See, this is why I think you have a comprehension problem. I think you can grasp small sentences, but with longer pieces of text you just seem to be able to only recognize key words without any context. I feel bad about being mean to you because I thought you just had a poor grasp of how to debate someone. But no wonder you go off into vile rants, I imagine it's very frustrating for you. I don't know much about adult literacy programmes, but you could probably ask someone to do some research for you.
