Frankly I'm surprised it's taken her this long to kick him to the curb but the main issue here is that this really is a matter between the two of them. At this point he's just a laughingstock nobody but as she is poised to be a top advisor to the next POTUS she certainly doesn't need the aggravation.
Meanwhile, seems to me right-wing tabloids like the NY Post continue to pursue Weiner with the goal of smearing Abedin, in much the same way that they continue trying to discredit Hillary for her husband's past indiscretions.
