Could a vaccine prevent dementia? Shingles shot data only getting stronger.

Getting vaccinated against shingles seems to lower one's risk of dementia. I hope the effect is also there for people who have already gotten shingles, like me.

Gen X here — got my Shingrix shot this year, plus the booster (don’t skip that part, fellow SE’ers!).

You should still get vaccinated even if you’ve had shingles before, no?

Especially in that case.
My mother had shingles after she was infected with chickenpox when she was young. The pain was quite severe - so get your shot when you had chickenpox. Since my father died of Dementia, connecting these two diseases somehow hits home.
