Mayday: wants to elect new members of Congress that will agree to pass campaign finance reform upon being elected.

Wolf: wants to amend the Constitution through a state convention.

I know absolutely nothing about the organizers/runners of these PACs. Is the WolfPAC guy a douche?

Eh, no more so than the average guy with a show on the Food Network. And at least he usually keeps it pointed at the bad guys. But I wouldn't want to have a beer with him.

They have very similar goals but their plans of attack are different.. WolfPAC wants to pass an amendment to the Constitution by getting 34 of the 50 states to ratify it in both sides of each state legislature.

MayDayPAC is trying to elevate the issue of campaign finance reform by using crowdfunding to elect a majority to Congress who are committed to fundamental campaign finance reform laws.

I enjoy WolfPAC's delusion that somehow state legislatures aren't as corrupt as their federal equivalent.

I now also enjoy MayDay's delusion that power doesn't corrupt, particularly when you submerge these new allies into the hive of backstabbery that is our legislature.

Mayday's goal is to change the rules on the ground such that the current manner of corruption is severely weakened/ undermined. I'd say that it's a worthy cause.

Plus if they don't hit their, goal, you get all your money back.

The information provided on the page is mediocre at best. If it had a little more information that just a video briefly explaining their plan of attack, and a whole bunch of "Pledge Now" button - I would have been more open to the idea.

Call me a cynic, but I find the idea of a reformed Jack Abramoff working towards campaign finance reform to be a bit dubious. Maybe it's an 'only Nixon can go to China' thing.
