Heavy Metal of the World

Celebrating a world of heavy metal.

Thumb is the song "Wolf Totem" by the band The HU. A blend of traditional Mongolian throat-singing and metal. Come with me, brothers and sisters, let us drown the world in blood and fire together.

More in extended.

The HU - Yuve Yuve Yu:

From Iran, Persian metal: Farshid Arabi - Scream Out!
(For some reason it embeds the wrong video - the above is the youtube link to this fantastic song)

From India, The Down Troddence - Shiva

From Japan, Yousei Teikoku - Shito Kanadeshi Hametuno Tategoto

Long time ago someone posted this gem on an older incarnation of SE: ChthoniC - 49 Theurgy Chains Official Video | 閃靈 - 鬼縛 MV

Is everything in Mongolia horse themed? Because there's another Mongolian folk metal band, Tengger Cavalry.

Hey Steele, I don't understand what's broken, but I can't put a 2nd video in. At first the 2nd SELINK tag showed the same video as the first time. I tried in a response to myself, where it was simply entirely dropped. Unless that video has some weird anti-embedding mojo from YouTube itself, something isn't working right.

Similar with the third video I posted, I know 100% my link was correct but it kept showing and linking to the second video.

2 bugs at once! :D

edit: I know what the issue is, but i'll have to wait till tomorrow to figure out how to fix it.

edit2: got at least one of them fixed... and it'll cover for the other bug for now.

Let's be fair, if your people once conquered a significant fraction of the known world on horseback and the leader of those men could say "I am the punishment of God" and sincerely mean it, I think you have the right to be a little proud of the horse herds that enabled that feat.

Hanggai are an older Mongolian throatsinging mob. Quite heavy live but not so much recorded.

Takatak is some great Pakistani djent. More Lamb of God than folk.

Don't know is Scandinavian counts as "Metal of the World" but Heilung also uses a bit of throat singing.

The abyss of Hell has been coming out with some great metal too, not just earth. Good if you need to be pumped up for 2 hours straight.

Summoning, from Austria. If you like your metal Black, obsessed with Tolkien, and with random eagle screeches.

Iah are an Argentinian psychedelic prog mob

But the best metal in the world is French
