Well, shit. The only thing better than a culture war is a literal war.

Well, that sucks.
Maybe there are security cams?

Given recent goings-on the list of possible motivations for this is truly impressive. I'll be curious to see how it pans out.

Also, "get out of town or else?" Was the person who wrote that wearing a black hat wearing a bandit kerchief?

I mean, I'd prefer if they just voted them out, but hey, whatever works!

It sort of loses its dramatic effect since they were given permission retroactively "They can firebomb our offices"

I would round up the local trump supporters to see which one did it. Those dudes are desperate.

I'm maybe 60/40 whether this is a false flag attack. On the one hand, although the denizens of Orange County, NC are more likely to hold a third eye chakra crystal healing ceremony than firebomb, they can get irate(tional) when The Other is among them. On the other hand Trump supporters not only hate Republicans now, but may be looking for a way to get away from third eye chakra crystal ceremony folk as soon as possible.

Crystals? That is not the Chapel Hill I went to. It might have been left compared to most of NC other than Ashville, but still mid right across the board. I feel old.

Goddammit. Regardless of wether it was done by liberals or by conservatives looking to frame liberals and incite retribution attacks across the country, I'm afraid there will be more of this.

I also had wondered if someone on the right did this themselves to incite. Normally I don't give credence to those theories that people are their own bully. This is different. White nationalists often admire Hitler and he faked an attack on Germany to start a war. The far right online are also quick to accuse identified SJWs of writing their own hate mail. If they think this is just a thing people do, why wouldn't they do it?

Though just as easily they could have really pissed someone off. There are so many people with legitimate grudges that it's hard to say.

I've been told there was a facebook style rumor going around that there were completed absentee ballots for Trump (or were supposed to be) there, and that was the target. You know, as part of the election stealing necessary for Trump to lose…
