True, but what I thought was interesting is that the people in the article/video don't consider themselves to be making just a masturbation device. The line used repeatedly is that the function of the robot is to make people happy, and sexual release is apparently a rather small consideration of that. They want it to be person-like enough that those who find it difficult, for whatever reason, to form relationships with women (or, presumably men) can have some... one to make them feel better. Someone to come home to, someone to look after, someone to talk to about your day and have them crack jokes so they feel better. Positive reinforcement for those who can't get it. So the thing that really intrigues me is the interpersonal aspect, and how that affects society in 10/20 years time.
