The Smashing Pumpkins went on after Manson. Manson preformed an amazing light show during the late afternoon as the sun went down. When he finished, they set up the Pumpkin's stage.

We left after 1 song. Why didn't Manson go last?

Honestly, grey cloth and B&W lighting sounds pretty cool, in an old-school minimalist grunge rock kind of way, but I can see how it would be kind of a let down after a more elaborate set.

They did this with a different Manson/Pumpkins show at the Gexa Pavillion in Dallas. They both had awesome light shows that were totally impossible to see and the artists were just sort of melting onstage as they were forced to stare directly into the blinding setting sun.

How does that event-planner still have a job?? How do these artists not yet have a rider demanding either an indoor stage or the concert doesn't start until after sundown (a time we can predict based on historical sunset times for the planned concert dates)?
